The Union For Gender Empowerment and Queer McGill are seeking proposals for workshops, discussions, film screenings and other events to be a part of Rad Sex Week 2014!
Rad Sex Week will be happening Feb 19th – Feb 27th, 2014. The series is an attempt to explore all kinds of sex and sexuality, and expose folks to new ideas and techniques. We believe sex is best when consensual, enjoyable, and exciting, and this week is dedicated to exploring these nuances from an anti-oppressive, feminist, trans*-positive perspective. All events must fit within the UGE mandate, outlined further on our website (https://unionforgenderempowerment.wordpress.com/about/mission-statement/). The week is part of a collaboration with Queer McGill.
Ideas for possible workshops and past ones include:
-Non-monogamy and Polyamory 101
-Sex with trans* folks
-Bondage and Knot Tying
-Safe(r) Sex with Strangers
-Sexual Health and Safe(r) Sex Strategies
This is an open call out for community organizations, campus groups, individuals, or others to propose any type of event they would like to present during the week! There will be a small honoraria provided to all workshop presenters.
The deadline for proposals is January 15, 2014. Please email all applications to firstname.lastname@example.org, including a description of the proposed event, any time or date restrictions you might have, any need for special equipment (such as a projector),a description of the presenters (organization or person(s)).
