accountability and tip toeing around people who call you out

fabianromero:

lets say you get called out, confronted or talked to about your problematic behavior. great, someone just revealed that they believe in your capacity to change and grow, you should be grateful they haven’t given up on you.

now if you choose to tip toe around them or act like a sad puppy, this is problematic. why? its not accountable, it puts the attention back on you, it is further using your privilege, entitlement. just don’t do it. apologize again if you have to, or remind yourself why the person talked to you in the first place. this might be your awareness calling you out and telling you its time to own your privilege.
